post_now

posts:publish

Publish one approved post to its connected account (X, LinkedIn, Facebook Page, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube) right now instead of at its scheduled time. The post must already be approved (approve_post_group, with autoSchedule: false if it shouldn't also get a slot); a post still pending approval is refused and stays in Review. Only call this when the user has confirmed the copy and asked for it to go out now.

Returns the post with its publishedUrl; a video on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube comes back as awaiting_platform and goes live within a few minutes once the platform has processed it. TikTok drafts from here land in the inbox unless the post was set up in the app composer with Direct Post consent.

Needs the posts:publish scope: publish posts now. It changes your workspace, so clients may ask you to confirm each call.

Same action over the REST API

The tool runs POST /v1/orgs/{orgId}/marketing/posts/{postId}/post-now as the signed-in user, with the same validation, approval rules and limits. See it in the Posts API reference.
