get_x_thread

posts:writeuses credits

Read a whole thread on X from the link or id of any post in it. Returns the post asked for, root (the post that started the conversation) and thread (the root author's own posts in it, oldest first), each with the same detail as get_x_post. Pass includeReplies: true to also get other people's replies, and includeMedia: true for photos and videos. limit (10-100, default 25) caps how many conversation posts are read. truncated means there are more.

X only searches the last 7 days of a conversation, so an older thread may come back with just the root and the post asked for; notes says so. Spends credits: half a credit per post X returns (a post read in the last 24 hours is free), so a 25-post read is up to about 13 credits. usage says what was charged.

Use get_x_post when one post is enough.

Input

  • poststringrequired

The post's link on X, like https://x.com/name/status/1234567890, or its numeric id.

    min length 1 · max length 500

  • includeRepliesboolean

Also return other people's replies in the conversation, not only the author's own thread. Each reply returned is a post read.

    default false

  • includeMediaboolean

Also return each photo, video and GIF: image URL, alt text, size, and for videos the playable MP4 variants. Off by default to keep the response short; it costs no extra credits.

    default false

  • limitinteger

Most conversation posts to read from X (10-100, default 25). Each post returned is a post read.
