find_trending_topics
posts:write
Research what's trending right now in the user's niche, or in a focus they name (for example "AI agents in sales"), from live web search and from what people are posting and sharing on X this week. Sources are marked platform web or x; a hot take may answer a specific X post it cites. Without a focus it researches the strategy's content pillars for its audience; prefer that over a one-word focus like "AI".
Returns up to 6 topics, each with a summary, why it matters now, a hot take the brand could own, cited sources, and ready-to-edit X and LinkedIn posts in proven viral formats (see list_viral_post_formats). grounded is false when the topics aren't backed by live news (they're evergreen debates); groundingReason says why (search not configured, failed, or found nothing), or, when grounded, that X couldn't be searched so the topics rest on web news alone: tell the user. xSearch says how the X search went (status, postsFound, sourcesCited, message).
Counts toward the workspace's monthly AI usage allowance, so call get_trending_topics first and only run this when the user wants fresh research. It posts nothing: to use an idea, adapt it with the user and save it with create_draft_post.
