Launch a product

Permissions used: mcp:read, posts:write, posts:schedule.

We launch our analytics add-on on the 18th. Write the Product Hunt listing and Show HN post, draft the launch posts and give me a day-by-day plan.

create_launch_kit takes your pitch, the launch date and the channels (Product Hunt, Hacker News, X, LinkedIn, Reddit) and returns:

  • Listings to paste: the Product Hunt name, tagline, description and first comment, and the Show HN title and post.
  • Launch posts drafted into your Review queue, one per step that needs one.
  • A day-by-day plan from prep to follow-up, each step with its time.

Then work through it:

  1. get_launch_kit shows the plan and where each post’s draft is.
  2. Approve each post with approve_post_group using its step’s scheduledForUtc, so it goes out on plan.
  3. Tick off manual steps (submitting to Product Hunt, lining up supporters) with update_launch_step.

The Launch page in the app shows the same kit. Creating a kit uses credits; reading and updating it doesn’t.
