Limits and usage

AI work spends credits from your plan’s monthly allowance, shared across your workspaces. That covers drafting replies, researching trends, rewrites and AI-generated images. The tool reference marks every tool that spends credits.

Reading posts on X with get_x_post and get_x_thread also spends credits, because X charges for every post it returns: half a credit per post, including the posts it quotes or replies to. Reading the same post again within 24 hours is free.

These never spend credits:

  • Publishing and scheduling posts.
  • Reading your own workspace: the home brief, posts, analytics, the latest trends report.
  • Rendering branded images and carousels without an AI background.

Ask your assistant to check with get_usage:

How many credits have I used this month, and when do they reset?

When credits run out, tools that spend them return a clear error until the next reset or a plan upgrade. Everything else keeps working. Plans and allowances are on the pricing page.

Where Limit What you get when you hit it
MCP server 60 tool calls a minute per user A tool error: “Rate limit exceeded. Retry after N seconds.”
REST API Per endpoint for AI work 429 with code: "rate_limit_exceeded" and retryAfterSeconds

Assistants usually wait and retry on their own.

Each post has to fit its platform. AdVentur.ai counts the way each platform does, so on X a link counts as 23 characters and an emoji as 2.

Platform Characters
X 280 (longer copy becomes a thread)
LinkedIn 3,000
Instagram 2,200
TikTok 2,200
Threads 500
Bluesky 300
  • Importing from a link: import_media_from_url takes public files up to 300 MB.
  • Uploading a file: create_media_upload returns a signed URL to PUT the file to; your plan sets the largest video you can upload and your workspace’s storage.
  • Instagram needs at least one image or a video (posted as a Reel). Square or 4:5 portrait images look best.
  • Bluesky takes up to 4 JPEG or PNG images and no video.
  • TikTok takes a video or 1–35 photos.
  • LinkedIn video must be MP4.
